THE FOUNDER
Hermine Moulin-Comte is the founder of Atelier HMC, specializing in luxury straw marquetry design. Her unusual career path began at the age of 15 with a vocational baccalaureate in carpentry followed by a BTS in design and design. During her studies, she worked on projects for prestigious brands such as Hermès, Dior and Prada.
With experience as a Business Manager, Hermine acquired valuable expertise in organizing construction sites for renowned brands. At the age of 18, during a construction site for Hermès in Manhattan, she discovered straw marquetry. Fascinated by this technique, she chose to focus her final year dissertation on this subject and trained with the masters of this field. Today, Hermine is realizing her dream by offering exceptional layout solutions in straw marquetry to a demanding clientele.
Passionate about heritage, Hermine likes to draw inspiration from old stones when she has the opportunity, bringing a historical and artistic touch to each of her creations.
